During the public comment period, a resident identified in the minutes as M. Zimber thanked Deputy Supervisor John Russell for assuming the supervisor role, asked about a trailer parked on the LaFrance property, and requested the town continue to allow Friends of the Library to hold book sales in the Community Center basement. Council Member William Griffin said he was concerned about granting the Friends exclusive use of the basement.
Another commenter, L. Denesha, reported on county matters: she said the county's 2026 budget passed unanimously at the full board meeting; noted that Emily Wilson is the county's new Director of Real Property; reported passage of a Mortgage Tax Resolution; and said the Childcare Block Grant was $1.3 million overbudget with reimbursable payments delayed. She also announced the county's 2026 organizational meeting on Jan. 2, 2026.
