Finance report: utility savings noted; budget amendment for weight room planned

Finance Director Jessica Reiter told the board that utility usage was down $2,881 compared with the same time last year and that the district has received roughly 58% of anticipated local property-tax revenue through February.
Reiter said several budget functions were running slightly over budget and that, after consultation with the auditor, she expects to propose a formal budget amendment to reclassify the new weight room from function 36 to function 81 once the weight room construction is complete.
No formal budget amendment was approved at the Feb. 25 meeting; Reiter said she is awaiting project completion before bringing an amendment forward.
