Superintendent Steve Cope updated the board on construction progress for the district's new elementary building at the March 23 meeting. Cope said concrete slabs have been poured, permanent electricity has been connected and intercoms are currently being installed.
Cope said cameras and doors are ready "all they can until ceiling is installed," and confirmed the official street address for the new elementary building will be 605 Elizabeth Street. The minutes indicate work remains on interior finishes before those security systems can be completed.
The board did not take action on construction contracts at the meeting; Cope reported the April safety audit and other timeline items as part of his superintendent report.
