Lindsay ISD approves 2026–27 calendar and annual staff-development minutes waiver

The Lindsay ISD Board of Trustees approved the district’s proposed 2026–2027 school calendar and separately authorized the routine waiver that allows staff-development time to count as instructional minutes for the coming school year.
Superintendent Steve Cope presented the proposed calendar. Kelly Dunn moved to approve the calendar and Corey Anderle seconded; the calendar vote passed 7–0. On the staff-development waiver, Jacob Fuhrmann moved to approve and Brian Neu seconded; that motion also passed unanimously.
Board members did not record additional conditions or specific calendar changes in the minutes; the calendar will guide the district’s instructional scheduling for 2026–2027.
