Lindsay ISD hires law firm to pursue eminent domain for access to Highway 82

The update was presented as part of the superintendent’s report; the minutes do not record a separate motion or vote to approve the engagement at the Dec. 17 meeting.
The minutes note construction activity elsewhere on campus—painting, texturing and Exterior Insulation and Finish System (EIFS) work—which Cope said is continuing while design measurements are finalized for elementary‑building graphics and the cafeteria area.
District staff will bring any required contracts, easements or formal eminent domain actions to the board for consideration if and when those items require board approval.
