The Board of Trustees of Marfa ISD received staff reports Aug. 19 on enrollment, attendance and district finances. Principals Rosie Martinez and Candy Dominguez reported "Elementary Enrollment 79, Elementary Attendance 98.9%" and junior/senior high enrollment around 115 with attendance near 98%, according to the minutes.
Business Manager Rosela Rivera presented the financial packet included on the consent agenda. The board approved the consent agenda 5–0; items included a $25,000 TEA recapture payment listed as a budget amendment and gifts and solicitations broken into line items (dual credit, academic competitions, field trips, art upgrades, library, yearbooks and teacher grants). The board recorded the vote with Board Secretary Rene Gonzales moving and Ruben Martinez seconding.
