The education coordinator played a short video about summer camps and described a busy month of in-person activities: multiple workshops, and three consecutive field trips following camp, including one visit of about 40–50 kids from a community program.
"I wish I could show you everything that we did at camp, but it's impossible...it was a great camp," the coordinator said while describing workshops and trips.
Community engagement staff previewed the Autumn Moon event, saying the event date is Oct. 24 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., with 10 artisans signed up so far and three food vendors tentatively confirmed. She said the registration deadline for artisans was Aug. 6 and that staff were in talks with Patoka Lake winery and a distillery about potential beverage exclusivity for the event.
"It is October 24 for the actual event, and we're doing it from 2PM to 8PM, so evening," Elizabeth said when confirming the event date and time.
Staff emphasized outreach opportunities—using camp video clips to promote programming—and planned a community presence at a back-to-school event on Aug. 28 to distribute information and activity packets for families.
