Board approves artist deposits, corrects William Morris/Scotty McCreery deposit to $37,500

"The the total to you is 75,000. The deposit is 34,500, which is 50% of the total," staff said when describing the Little Artists Entertainment contract.
There was an initial miscalculation noted during discussion about the William Morris Entertainment/Scotty McCreery deposit; a board member quipped about a numeric typo. Staff confirmed the correct 50% deposit amount for William Morris Entertainment (Scotty McCreery) is $37,500 and the board approved that corrected figure alongside the other deposits by roll call.
On programming strategy, Director Kyle said the board had explored a Scotty McCreery date but decided not to pursue it because outside production costs (sound, rigging and crew) made the engagement financially impractical.
"The cost just outweighed the benefit, unfortunately," Kyle said when explaining the decision not to pursue the date.
The approvals allow staff to issue deposit payments and finalize contracts and rentals for the upcoming season.
