Jasper Arts Board approves July minutes, claims and a restricted donation

At its August meeting the Jasper Arts Board approved July minutes, accepted financial claims for July/August and approved a single restricted-use donation to be applied toward performances; all approvals were taken by roll-call to accommodate a virtual participant.
The board opened its August meeting with a procedural change: because a member was participating virtually, the chair said the board would take a roll-call vote for every actionable item.
"So since we have someone virtual and we can see their face and their microphone is on, we will be taking a roll call vote for every actionable item this evening," the chair said at the start of the meeting.
Beth conducted a formal roll call and the board moved to accept the July minutes as submitted. After individual roll-call responses the minutes were approved. The meeting then moved to financial matters, with staff noting the July and August claims and a single restricted-use donation earmarked for performances.
A motion to approve the claims and the restricted-use donation was made and seconded; the board completed the required roll-call approvals and the motions passed.
Board members who answered in the affirmative during the roll calls included Darla Blazy, Julie Burns, Amy Donato, Corey Eckerly, Viviana Green, Linda Colley, Keith Klimper, Pat (recorded as "Pat" in the roll call), Selena Vanderheiden and Allison Woodrow. The board recorded the approval as part of the official minutes.
The board adjourned after remaining agenda items and set its next meeting for Sept. 1.
