Trustee Rick Tullis resigns; board approves wide slate of hires, separations and transfers

On March 24 the Board accepted Trustee Rick Tullis’ resignation (Tullis abstained); trustees also approved a long list of professional and paraprofessional hires, separations and transfers across campuses and services.
The Board accepted the resignation of Trustee Rick Tullis on a motion by Jonathan Green, seconded by Colin Witt. The recorded vote was For: Jordan Barry, Jonathan Green, Susan Vick, Pam Watts and Colin Witt; Abstained: Rick Tullis; Absent: Brad Alford.
Separately, the Board approved numerous personnel recommendations including new professional hires across administrative services and multiple campuses (listed in the board packet) and several paraprofessional hires and separations. New hires named in the packet included administrators, classroom teachers, SPED staff, speech therapists, and other roles across Castleman Creek, Chapel Park, Hewitt, Midway High School, Midway Middle School, Park Hill, River Valley Middle School, South Bosque, Speegleville, Spring Valley and Woodway Elementary.
The Board also reviewed draft performance goals for the superintendent as part of the evaluation process and added an additional goal that will appear on the April agenda for approval.
