The Maypearl Independent School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously on June 25 to approve a compensation package that would increase all positions by a minimum of 2% of current salary as part of the 2026–2027 preliminary budget workshop.
Business Manager Josh Boone presented the preliminary budget materials and noted that no proposals for a final budget or tax rate were made. “Motion made by Steve Cooper, seconded by Adam Smith to approve the compensation package as presented,” the minutes state.
The minutes do not include a line-item breakdown of the cost or the proposed funding source for the raises; they record only the board’s approval to adopt the package as presented. Further budget work and formal adoption of a tax rate or final budget are expected in later public meetings.
