A motion by Steve Cooper, seconded by Jeremy Norman, nominated Jarod Wright as board president. The minutes record the vote as: Monte Dirickson, Jeremy Norman, Jerry Ramirez, Chad Trinkle and Steve Cooper voting yes, Jarod Wright abstaining; Adam Smith was not present for that vote. Jarod Wright then moved, seconded by Jerry Ramirez, to nominate Steve Cooper as vice president; the minutes record that all present voted yes (Adam Smith was noted as not present earlier). Chad Trinkle moved and Monte Dirickson seconded the nomination of Jeremy Norman as board secretary; that motion passed with all voting yes among those present.
The newly elected officers will serve as the board prepares for the upcoming district year. The reorganization followed the certified canvass of the May 2 election and the swearing-in of newly elected trustees earlier in the meeting.
