Board approves health vendor contract, audit engagement and regional purchasing cooperatives
Summary
Marshall ISD approved a contract with BG Pure Wellness, an audit engagement with Knuckols, Duvall, Hallum & Co., and resolutions to participate in Region 7 and Region 6 purchasing cooperatives. All votes were unanimous (5–0).
At the June 15 meeting the board approved several contracts and procurement-related items. Lauren Hammett presented the contract between Marshall ISD and BG Pure Wellness, described in the minutes as having "no real change from previous years." Trustee Chase Palmer moved to approve the contract and Trustee Cathy Marshall seconded; the board voted 5–0 in favor.
Assistant Superintendent Susie Byrd presented the district's standard engagement with accounting firm Knuckols, Duvall, Hallum & Co., noting a roughly $1,000 increase in price from the prior engagement. The board approved that engagement by unanimous vote. Byrd also presented a resolution to join the Region 7 Regional Purchasing Cooperative and an interlocal agreement with the Region 6 Educational Purchasing Cooperative; the board approved both measures 5–0.
