During the hearing on Case 2604, the applicant asked the commission to consider altered hours after recent state law changes allowing later dispensary operations. Andrew Scott said the applicant would like to amend its application to permit later evening hours, noting the state now allows some operators to remain open until 2 a.m. He asked the commission to consider a modified schedule with Monday–Thursday openings extended to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday to 11:59 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
Several commissioners expressed reluctance to endorse midnight hours. One commissioner said they would find 10 p.m. acceptable Monday through Thursday and suggested the Village Board could set final hours when the case is presented. The motion forwarded a recommendation based on staff findings and conditions without altering the originally proposed hours; staff and the Board retain authority to impose or change hours as part of final approval.
