Maypearl ISD board approves consent agenda, including outside counsel agreement

The Maypearl Independent School District Board of Trustees approved its consent agenda at the regular meeting on Sept. 24, 2024. The items on the consent agenda included approval of the Aug. 22, 2024 minutes and a consultation agreement with the law firm Eichelbaum, Wardell, Hansen, Powell & Munoz, P.C. A motion by Trustee James Eubank, seconded by Trustee Jeremy Norman, carried unanimously with Trustee Justin Stinson not present for that vote.
Board President Tricia Ikard announced at the start of the meeting that a quorum was present and that the meeting had been posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act. The consent‑agenda vote was recorded on the minutes and the board proceeded to the superintendent's report following the vote.
