Council heard two community-development items: a rezoning request from Rooted Counseling Center, PLLC to rezone 2721 North Harrison Street from R4C to CT (transitional commercial), and a proposed amendment to a lease with BZE Holdings Inc., doing business as Boosie's Bar and Grill at the Freight House revising the description of premises. Alderman Leanan introduced the items and asked for public comment; with none offered, council members moved both items to the consent agenda. "I make a motion we move items 1 and 2 to the consent agenda," said the alderman who moved the motion, which passed by voice vote.
Both items will be considered as part of the consent agenda at a later council meeting; no substantive debate or public testimony occurred during the Committee of the Whole meeting. The rezoning request (case REZ-26-05) and the lease amendment remain on the council calendar for routine action unless a member removes them for separate discussion.
