Mesquite ISD approves consent agenda and dozens of personnel actions

The Board unanimously approved the consent agenda including financial reports, multiple contracts and agreements, and a long slate of administrative and teaching contracts and new hires for 2026-27.
At the May 11 meeting the Mesquite ISD Board approved a broad consent agenda that included minutes from April meetings, monthly financial and tax reports, policy DEC (LOCAL), and multiple interlocal agreements and contracts. The motion to approve the consent agenda was moved by Trustee Greg Everett and seconded; the vote was recorded as unanimous.
The Board also approved a slate of administrative and term contracts for principals and coordinators (including Nicole Donnell, Kelsye Baxter and Katelyn Brandt) and approved employment contracts for a long list of non-certified and certified staff for the coming school year. Dr. Rivera, speaking for the administration, thanked trustees for their partnership and “extended my sincere gratitude for the unwavering service and dedication to our district.”
