The Town Board approved a budget adjustment for the Newton Falls Wastewater Treatment Plant (NFWWTP), moving $20,000 from the contingency fund to the debt fund. The minutes list Amendment #2 for $5,000, Amendment #4 for $8,000 for construction oversight, and $7,000 for SCADA and chemical disinfection; a motion to approve the adjustment was made by J. Russell, seconded by B. Blackmer, and carried by a 5-0 vote.
Separately, the board discussed that the NFWWTP septic tank needs pumping and hauling because the prior vendor is unavailable. B. Griffin will contact H Brothers for an emergency pump and the town will accept bids for the work until Feb. 4, 2026.
