Budget presentation, finance plan and procurement overview presented to Mission CISD trustees

At the May 6 workshop Mission CISD trustees received the second 2026–2027 budget presentation, a plan of finance for maintenance tax notes, an internal audit report and an overview of procurement methods; no budget adoption or contract awards were recorded at the workshop.
The Business & Finance portion of the May 6 workshop included '2026-2027 Budget Presentation No. 2' and a 'Plan of Finance for Maintenance Tax Notes' as information items. Trustees also received the Internal Audit quarterly report and an overview of procurement methods and board approval requirements. The Property Casualty Alliance of Texas recognition for District Bus Driver of the Year was listed as an information item.
Several procurements requiring board consideration at or above $50,000 were listed for a future meeting (including AP exams, pest control services, standby EMT/ambulance service, TELPAS online practice software subscription, musical instruments and student athletic accident insurance). The minutes do not show awards or votes on those procurements during the May 6 workshop; staff will bring detailed recommendations to the May 13 regular meeting.
