The Midlothian ISD Board of Trustees voted May 18 to authorize the issuance of Unlimited Tax School Building Bonds, Series 2026, not to exceed $150,000,000 in principal. The order authorizes levy of taxes to secure the bonds, award of sale within specified parameters, execution of purchase and paying agent/registrar agreements and preparation of an official statement.
The motion, made by Trustee Jessica Ward and seconded by Gary Vineyard, passed 5-1-1 (Ed Harrison voted no; one member absent). The authorization gives district officials and bond counsel authority to proceed with the bond sale under the parameters approved by the board.
