A representative introduced in the agenda as Miss Gilliard spoke for the Forest Hills Foundation for Education and reported the foundation brought in $482,000 last year. She said more than $230,000 of last year’s funds went directly to supporting students in the district through grants distributed via the district, teacher grants and student-led grants.
Miss Gilliard outlined signature events and programming the foundation plans for the year, including a Distinguished Alumni and Staff Awards luncheon on Oct. 3 at Ivy Hills Country Club, a Denim & Diamonds fundraiser on Nov. 15 at Belterra, and the Forest Hills 5K planned for May 9, 2026. She said the foundation aims to raise more than $500,000 during the coming year and described increased alumni outreach ("about 15,000 alumni contacts") and sponsor networking scheduled for Sept. 3 at Mercer Social House.
