Venecia reported a district-wide staff vote held Feb. 2—Feb. 6 with 256 total votes: Calendar B received 200 votes (78%), Calendar C 15%, and Calendar A 7%. Trustee Oscar Hernandez moved to adopt Calendar B; Trustee Ricardo Hinojosa seconded the motion and the board voted unanimously to approve the 2026—1027 instructional calendar.
Calendar B differs from the other options primarily in professional learning and winter-break structure (Calendar B: three-week winter break for students, two-and-a-half-week break for staff). The board did not amend calendar dates at the meeting.
