The Medina Valley ISD Board of Trustees approved multiple capital and facilities items on May 26 that together total approximately $614,626. The board approved a $75,526 contract with Texas Tile Company to renovate floors in the high school cafeteria, foyer and hallway between gyms (motion by Joe Biediger, seconded by Blane Nash). The board also awarded RFCSP 26-003 for multi-campus kitchen freezer and cooler refrigeration upgrades to WR Griggs for $325,000 and authorized the superintendent to negotiate contract terms (motion by Matt Castiglione, seconded by Ben Juarez).
In addition, the board approved Capital Improvement Fund expenditures not to exceed $214,100 to purchase additional portable building materials, furniture, fixtures and equipment (motion by Blane Nash, seconded by Joe Biediger). The minutes record that all board members present voted in favor of each item. The minutes do not list contract timelines or installation schedules; staff will manage procurement and scheduling in the procurement phase.
