Grady Slaydon briefed the board on multiple capital projects at LIBERTY ISD. Demolition and foundation work for the LHS stair replacement are underway with a targeted completion date of July 19 ahead of new teacher orientation. The baseball complex project has accelerated despite weather delays; recent work included net pole installation, completion of the Ag Barn access road and parking, concrete for batting cages and a dumpster pad, and site preparation for dugouts and bleachers.
Slaydon said several project adjustments were approved to improve road access, parking, and utility protection. For the LES annex repairs, special-order brick ties are expected this week and the contractor will mobilize upon delivery, with repairs anticipated to take roughly two weeks once materials arrive.
