Council approves first readings and combined motion on utility-rate ordinances

"They gave you the utility budget, the 5 year CIP, and an indication where council should be setting their rates," the presenter said.
Council moved, seconded and voted to approve the first readings of the three ordinances together; staff noted a second reading and formal adoption would take place in early September after the budget is adopted and after required public notice.
No specific rate schedules beyond the consultant's guidance were debated at length in the meeting; the ordinances were advanced as part of the council's standard budget-season calendar.
