Superintendent Dr. Stu Musick told trustees the district’s enrollment totaled 3,101 students across campuses: High School 925; Bizzell 12; Junior High 694; Webb 644; High Point 519; Brule 333. The district’s overall attendance rate was recorded at 97.07% with campus-level rates listed in the minutes. Dr. Musick also presented a Special Education update and noted ongoing compliance work.
Dr. Tracy Stone presented the Instruction & Learning update, telling the board that HB 3 goals are now obsolete for district planning due to legislative and district changes, that STAAR 2.0 accountability details will be provided in future reports, and that programs such as GEAR UP and EOC improvements show early positive signs.
