Superintendent Andrew Miller presented a draft 2026–2027 compensation plan to the Moody Independent School District Board of Trustees at its Jan. 14, 2026 meeting, saying the proposal would tie annual teacher raises to student growth and T‑TESS appraisal metrics and provide a pathway toward teacher pay above $100,000.
Miller said the plan is intended to align with district goals and would be implemented beginning in the 2026–2027 school year. He told the board he plans to bring the plan back in February for a vote. The transcript records that Mr. Miller provided updated enrollment data but does not specify the enrollment numbers discussed.
The proposal, as described in the meeting, links part of teacher compensation to student-growth measures and appraisal results under the Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T‑TESS). Miller also told trustees there will be a performance-based implementation as part of an enhanced teacher incentive allotment (TIA) plan. The board did not take action on the compensation plan at this meeting; Miller said formal consideration would come in February.
