MWPISD honors teacher of the year, athletes and UIL qualifiers

The board recognized Kassie Hunt as District Teacher of the Year, honored Brooke Sanchez as Greater Texas Ford Dealers Female Athlete of the Month, acknowledged students advancing to UIL State Band and Twirling competitions, and introduced new Executive Director of Technology John Bimmerle.
During opening recognitions the board and superintendent acknowledged several students, staff and community members. Kassie Hunt was recognized as the district Teacher of the Year and Brooke Sanchez was honored as the Greater Texas Ford Dealers Female Athlete of the Month; students who advanced to UIL State Band and Twirling events were also acknowledged.
Superintendent Dr. Stacy Parker and Board President Dr. Josh Swarb said the honors "celebrate students, staff, and community partners who demonstrate outstanding dedication, leadership, character, and impact." The board also introduced John Bimmerle as Executive Director of Technology and heard a presentation from Live Well 360.
