At the Aug. 6 special meeting, Chief Financial Officer Kati Jones presented the board with the final ad valorem taxable values provided by the Ward County Appraisal District. Trustees received the figures to use in finalizing the proposed 2025-26 budget and proposed tax rates.
The presentation provided the taxable-value basis for the district’s forthcoming budget and tax-rate decisions; the board did not take a final vote on tax rates at the special meeting and will consider the proposed budget and rates at its Aug. 25 regular meeting.
