The resolution defines Data Centers to include facilities used primarily for storage, management, processing and transmission of digital data and explicitly includes commercial crypto‑mining operations and related processing. Chairman Dennis Smith moved to approve the item and Supervisor Larry Davis seconded; the motion carried with all members voting aye. The board said the pause is intended to protect infrastructure, natural resources and property rights while regulations are developed.
