Board delegates summer hiring authority to superintendent through Aug. 31

To ensure the district remains staffed for the upcoming school year, trustees authorized the Superintendent to make contractual and non-contractual hiring decisions from June 1 through August 31, 2026. The motion, made by Armando Flores and seconded by Roy Porras, passed unanimously.
Superintendent Dr. Stacy Parker told the Board the authority is intended to allow the district to recruit and onboard staff during the summer; any hires made under the delegated authority will be presented to the Board for ratification at the next regular meeting.
