The Webster Groves Architectural Review Board approved design changes for 361 Oakwood after the project’s architect agreed to specific roof‑drainage clarifications. The board required the membrane roof cricket be extended past the existing low roof to the end of the new porch addition, the addition of downspouts and gutters, and that the dormer window facing the porch be raised to permit proper drainage.
Architect Andrew Hutchins said the team "made changes to the front porch. It now no longer wraps around, and there's no tipped edges to the roof," and explained the roofing will combine membrane at the shallow pitch with asphalt shingles at the gable. Board members had previously flagged a triangular valley and an under-extended cricket that could cause ponding and directed the applicant to detail a scupper, downspout and flashing where the membrane meets the asphalt roof.
The motion to approve 361 Oakwood, moved by Committee member (S2) and seconded by Committee member (S3), passed with voting members present supporting the conditioned approval. The board recorded the approval on the public hearing after confirming no members of the public were present to speak.
