On motions recorded as TMPU (motion passed unanimously): the board approved the 2025–2026 compensation package (moved by Shannon Wiggins, seconded by Michael Rounsavall); set a public meeting on the budget and proposed tax rate for Aug. 18, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. (moved by Shannon Wiggins, seconded by Michael Rounsavall); approved the district’s 2025–2026 meeting dates (moved by Leslie Ivie, seconded by Leslie Hayes); approved the 2025–2026 T‑TESS appraisal calendar and certified appraisers (moved by Leslie Ivie, seconded by Shannon Wiggins); approved local policy updates to EFB, FD, FM and FNCE (moved by Leslie Ivie, seconded by Shannon Wiggins); approved the 2025–2026 Student Code of Conduct (moved by Leslie Hayes, seconded by Leslie Ivie); and extended the depository contract from Sept. 1, 2025 to Aug. 31, 2027 (moved by Michael Rounsavall, seconded by Shannon Wiggins).
Following a closed session, the board returned to open session and approved the employment of Sarah Ochoa as a teacher (moved by Shannon Wiggins, seconded by Leslie Ivie). With no additional business, the board adjourned at 9:16 p.m. (motion moved by Leslie Ivie, seconded by Leslie Hayes; TMPU).
