The Mildred ISD Board of Trustees on June 15 approved a settlement agreement in a pending special-education due-process hearing and authorized Superintendent Chris Whorton to sign the agreement on the board’s behalf. The board acted after an executive session that began at 7:54 p.m. and returned to open session at 9:22 p.m.
Russ Montfort moved to approve the settlement and Shane Farmer seconded; the motion passed 5–0 with trustees Leslie Ivie and Michael Rounsavall recorded as absent. The board gave no additional public details about the settlement in the open session minutes.
