President Alex Payson opened two consecutive public hearings at the Feb. 23, 2026 meeting. Dr. Melissa Fields presented the district's Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR), explaining the report's eight sections and how stakeholders can access it; there were no public comments and the hearing closed. Yarda Leflet then presented the district's Targeted and Local Improvement Plans, noting the plans are posted on the district website and will be presented for Board approval at the March regular meeting with TEA notification to follow.
Both hearings were informational; staff provided context for accountability ratings and improvement planning, and no members of the public offered testimony during either hearing.
