Marshall ISD board receives Region 7 award, honors longtime facilities director

The Marshall Independent School District Board of Trustees accepted the 2024 Region 7 School Board of the Year award during its Aug. 19 meeting and recognized a longtime employee for service to the district.
Dr. Richele Langley, Superintendent, reported what she described as "a wonderful first week of school" and said attendance has been strong. The board received the Region 7 award from an Executive Director of the Region 7 Service Center during the administrative reports portion of the meeting.
Patterson CDJR of Marshall presented the district’s Staff Member of the Week honor to Brad Ash, the district’s Facilities Director. The board noted that Brad Ash has "just started his 36th year with Marshall ISD," a milestone the board highlighted as part of the recognition. The award and recognitions were presented before the board moved into routine business.
