Nixon-Smiley CISD issues certificates and retains current officers after June election

The Board of Trustees of Nixon-Smiley CISD certified the election of Chris Villasana and Aly Tschoepe and administered the Oath of Office at its June 8, 2026 meeting in the new CTE building. The clerk issued certificates of election and the formal statements of office were executed for both trustees.
Trustee Lester Warzecha moved to retain the current officer slate; Trustee Chris Villasana seconded the motion and it passed with all members present voting aye. President Richard Lott presided over the reorganization. The action formalizes leadership after the May election and keeps the board’s committee and officer assignments unchanged for the immediate term.
