Olton ISD board authorizes superintendent to contract with KWA for future roofing projects

The Olton ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously on Oct. 28, 2024 to authorize the superintendent to enter into an agreement with KWA Architects/Engineers for architecture and engineering services related to future roofing projects. The motion was made by Jesus De LaCruz and seconded by Meghan DeBerry; the vote was 7–0 in favor.
Board members had earlier on the agenda received a roofing assessment report from Brad Draper of KWA. The minutes record the assessment was presented during the superintendent’s report but do not list estimated repair costs, a timetable, or contract value in the public record. District staff will be responsible for negotiating terms and returning to the board if a contract requires board approval under district policy.
