The board also approved a resolution setting the interest & sinking (I&S) rate at 0.5000 and the maintenance & operations (M&O) rate at 0.7705 for 2024–2025 on a motion by Landon Mires with a second from Landry Barton; the vote was 5-0. The meeting record notes that the formal public meeting on the budget and tax rate drew no public speakers.
