Navarro ISD says core classroom concrete complete as construction moves toward roofing and MEP work

Melisa Nu'u, AG/CM assistant project manager, told the Board of Trustees that major structural work on the district's new campus continues on schedule and that crews have completed key concrete pours. "All concrete for the second floor is complete," Nu'u said, and roof installation on the classroom portion of the building is nearly finished, allowing top-out sheetrock to begin in classroom corridors.
Nu'u described ongoing work on roof decking and steel supports for the auditorium and both gyms and said interior metal wall framing is underway in the cafeteria, kitchen and CTE health science areas. Mechanical, electrical and plumbing, fire sprinklers, blocking, waterproofing and sheathing are "nearly complete," she said. Because of a large cost impact related to curb drainage required by the City of Seguin for a Timmerman Road traffic signal, the AG/CM has asked the design team to evaluate alternatives and consult with TxDOT and county reviewers; geotechnical permitting and preliminary county design review were also described as outstanding items.
The board's update provided a timeline for upcoming work: prep for the ag barn concrete in the next two weeks and continued work on student and staff parking lots. No formal action was required or taken on the construction update.
