Board approves district and campus improvement plans, TAP and TIP revisions
Summary
Trustees unanimously approved the district and campus improvement plans for 2025–2026 and approved revised Primary Campus Turn Around Plan (2026–2028), Junior High TIP and High School TIP. Each motion carried with recorded votes in favor from six trustees.
The McCamey ISD Board of Trustees approved several accountability and improvement items during its Feb. 25 meeting, voting unanimously on each motion. Ramon Venegas moved and Crystal Marquez seconded approval of the district and campus improvement plans for the 2025–2026 school year; the motion carried with Trustees Selby, Renteria, Marquez, Venegas, Acosta and Butler recorded as voting in favor.
Trustees then approved a revised Primary Campus Turn Around Plan (2026–2028) on a motion by Brandon Butler seconded by Sarah Acosta, followed by approval of revised Junior High and High School Targeted Improvement Plans (TIPs) moved by Ramon Venegas and Gerard Renteria respectively. Each motion was recorded as carried with the same six trustees voting yes. These votes advance the district’s accountability and intervention planning for the current and coming school years.
