McCamey ISD recognizes students and athletes at Feb. 25 board meeting
Summary
Principals and coaches honored Outstanding Students and Athletes of the Month across primary, middle and high school levels. The recognitions were presented before public business and included photographs with trustees and staff.
During the special recognition portion of the Feb. 25 meeting, school leaders presented Outstanding Student of the Month awards for multiple campuses and Outstanding Athlete awards for the high school.
John Slaton, High School Principal, presented Outstanding Student of the Month awards to Liliana Raspaldo and Eli Brooks. Michael Woodard, Middle School Principal and coach, presented student awards to Kapree Armendarez and Jaylon Acosta and recognized athletes Madyson Loya and Beau Barnes. The recognitions were ceremonial and accompanied the Nextera Energy grant photo opportunity.
