At the Nov. 19 meeting the board approved a slate of fiscal and procurement items affecting district operations and fund balances.
A motion by Robert Silva, seconded by Gerard Renteria, approved the 2025 tax roll as submitted by the Upton County Appraisal District for a total levy amount of $14,100.07. The motion carried with votes recorded for Selby, Silva, Venegas, Renteria, Acosta and Butler. The board also approved a district intent to request a waiver from the Summer Nutrition Program for 2025–2026 (motion: Venegas; second: Butler).
The board approved a resolution to commit $322,506.15 of unassigned funds to general fund balance for sick leave retroactive to Aug. 31, 2025 (mover: Renteria; second: Venegas).
