The Pampa ISD Board of Trustees approved the district’s 2026–27 Compensation Plan at its April 27 meeting, a package designed to improve pay competitiveness for teachers, hourly staff and administrators.
Assistant Superintendent Dr. Abigayle Barton presented the plan, which continues the district’s teacher raises at the previously discussed $4,000/$8,000 amounts, provides a 3% raise for hourly employees, and schedules a 6% raise for non‑teaching professionals and administrators. Board members noted the district had not addressed this pay scale since 2012. Cade Taylor moved to approve the plan; Dr. David Godino seconded the motion. The motion carried (vote recorded as unanimous in the minutes).
Board materials indicated the increases are intended to retain administrative and non‑teaching professionals and to maintain competitiveness in the local labor market. The Board did not attach new funding sources or implementation contingencies during the vote.
