Board signs off on electricity contract authorization, surplus property and multiple 2022 bond change orders

In the Operations and Construction portions of the agenda the board authorized the superintendent to sign an extended-term commercial electricity service agreement with Direct Energy Business, LLC d/b/a NRG. Trustee Casey Phelan moved the authorization and the motion passed 7–0.
The board also approved a resolution declaring district property surplus to permit soliciting bids, and approved a sequence of change orders and Allowance Expenditure Authorizations (AEA) for multiple 2022 Bond projects. Actions included Final Change Order No. 01 for the Maguire Baseball Field LED Lights Retrofit Project, recorded as a credit of $80,132.44, and various AEA approvals and change orders for Parks, Bailey, Jessup and plumbing upgrades listed in the minutes. The board approved conveyance of domestic and irrigation water meter easements for the New Williams Elementary School Replacement Project for the amount of one dollar each.
