Peaster ISD trustees sworn in and elect board officers in unanimous votes

The Peaster ISD Board of Trustees held a regular meeting May 18 at the district administration building, where Chris Evers was sworn in as a new trustee and Mandy Cross was sworn in to begin a new three‑year term. President Jacob Bashore called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m., and Secretary Justin McKinley offered the invocation.
Laura Stewart nominated Jacob Bashore for board president; the motion carried 7–0, with recorded votes "For: Sharp, Stewart, Stafford, McKinley, Bashore, Cross, and Evers." Leanna Stafford nominated Mandy Cross for vice president and the motion likewise passed 7–0. Laura Stewart then nominated Justin McKinley for board secretary; that motion also passed unanimously. The sworn‑in membership — including Evers and Cross — comprised the voting body for each officer election.
