Council gets construction update on Trenton Square: parking, utilities and timeline

Nichols said the parking lot is scheduled for the first week of August, block masons are installing interior walls, exterior concrete column pours are next and the project is on track to be dried in by early September. He said collector-road curbs, asphalt, and electric and gas conduits have been installed; Duke is on site pulling electrical service and the transformer has been set at the city building. Gas installation is scheduled to begin in October. Sidewalk grading and ADA work are underway and staff expect sidewalk installation to begin the following week.
Nichols also noted that traffic-light poles for off-site improvements have been delivered and will be installed in the coming weeks, after which stop bars and temporary paint on Edgewood Drive will follow. The report contained multiple construction milestones but did not list contract awards or final completion dates for each element.
