Paris ISD designates IDEA representatives and approves amended District of Innovation Plan

During the Aug. 19 meeting, the Paris ISD Board of Trustees approved a resolution designating Local Education Agency (LEA) representatives for Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) responsibilities. The motion was made by Aubrey Gibbs and seconded by Anne Biard and carried 6–0.
The board also held a public hearing on an amendment to the Paris ISD District of Innovation plan (the hearing opened and closed at 6:03 p.m.) and subsequently approved the amended plan (motion by LaWanda Ladell; second by Anne Biard). The minutes record the hearing times and the approval but do not include the text of the amendment; district records should contain the amended plan language and any implementation timeline.
