Navarro ISD projects steady enrollment growth, forecasts near 6,000 students by 2035–36

Navarro ISD's Chief Financial Officer Paul Neuhoff told the board that enrollment has grown about 1,200 students over the last five years and that the district saw an approximate increase of 350 students in 2025–26. "Enrollment increased by 1,200 over the last five years," Neuhoff stated while presenting the spring demographic and housing study prepared by Zonda.
The study cited housing indicators the district is monitoring: roughly 180 homes currently under construction, about 950 lots available to build on, and more than 7,800 planned in the future. Neuhoff said enrollment is forecast to reach about 4,600 by the 2030–31 school year and could approach 6,000 by 2035–36 if planned development proceeds as projected. The board received the report for planning and budget purposes; no formal action was required at the meeting.
