Navarro ISD construction update: stadium turf, batting cages and school foundation work continue

AG/CM Project Manager Melisa Nu'u reported to the board that all 2024 bond projects remain on schedule for substantial completion and described recent milestones across multiple sites. She said the City of Seguin granted limited temporary occupancy for the baseball and softball fields; practices and games have been held while construction fencing remains in place to satisfy temporary-occupancy agreements. The turf at the stadium has been laid and logos and yard-line markers cut in; stadium home-side seating and fieldhouse masonry and interior trim work are ongoing. "All 2024 Bond projects are still on schedule for substantial completion," Melisa Nu'u told the board.

Nu'u also outlined progress on other projects: batting cages are nearly complete with netting, turf and lighting; visitors' parking and amenity building interiors are nearly finished with furniture deliveries expected; the Junior High refresh is almost complete, including a new secure vestibule and flooring; Navarro South has had foundation pours, elevator shaft work and grade beams in place. The chiller project is underway with chillers running and controls commissioning forthcoming; rain recently shifted crews to dewatering and clean-up work. The project manager noted that temporary access restrictions are in place for safety and to comply with city agreements.
